The magical silly tour continues! To celebrate The Mechanical Mind of John Coggin, Elinor will be visiting Jabberwocky Books in Newburyport, MA (50 Water Street) on Saturday, April 22, 2017 for mechanically-minded hijinks. There will be heaps of activities, an interactive reading, and fun for kids of all ages – but especially tweens and middle graders.

Elinor will be reading aloud from her book—and will need a little help from her audience! Hardcover books will also be available for sale, all ready to be dedicated to you or your friends.
Create Your Own LEGO® Invention
The universe is the limit! Construct your own dragons, internal combustion engines, or out-of-this-world inventions with LEGO®. Don’t forget to ask your parents to take a picture of your creation – they can email it to Elinor to feature on her Facebook page.
Boz’s Crazy Word Play
That sneaky verbal acrobat, Boz, is running amok in the games department! He’s put together all kinds of challenging verbal puzzles. If you like word finds, anagrams, and mad libbish silliness, this is the place to be.
Full Steam Ahead!
As John Coggin discovers, steam engines may just be the coolest – and hottest – things on the planet. Examine a working steam engine model and draw plans for your own steam-powered racing vehicle.
Write Your Own Ending 
Dreaming of becoming a writer some day? After each reading, Elinor will invite listeners to write about what happens next to John Coggin and his best friend Boz. Read more about her Kid Story Showcase.
