September 8, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Fred the Skeleton has something up his sleeve! To celebrate the publication of The Treasure of Mad Doc Magee, Elinor is heading back to An Unlikely Story Bookstore & Café in Plainville, MA (111 South Street) on Saturday, September 8th.
This Gold Rush-themed visit will include an author reading, a mini treasure hunt with cipher clues, and the chance to pose with Fred himself! The event is suitable for all ages, but tweens and middle graders are especially welcome.
ABOUT THE BOOK
The Treasure of Mad Doc Magee is a funny, heartfelt, rip-roaring puzzle box of an adventure about grit, guts, and gold (ages 8-12). Two feisty girls serve as the protagonists.
Published by Walden Pond Press/HarperCollins, it’s available through all major booksellers. But if you purchase it through the bookshop in September, Elinor will sign it for you and your family!
“Peppered with colorful phrases and puzzles, this wild adventure will captivate readers from its humorous opening scene until its breathless climax involving a mountainside holdup and a surprising savior.” School Library Journal
