Author Visit – Pathways for Children, Gloucester MA
February 21, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

GET YOUR STORYTELLING HATS ON!
Elinor will be visiting the Gloucester branch of Pathways for Children on the afternoon of Thursday, February 21 (1 PM-2 PM) for some school vacation silliness!
In her interactive “How to Create a Story” presentation, she’ll be using ideas & suggestions from Pathways kids to show them how to build a plot. Together, the audience will create a main character, an exciting quest, and suitable villains. A few lucky volunteers will also get to face Monty Python’s bridge keeper!
After the presentation, Elinor will be available to answer questions about being an author and the stories in her books, The Mechanical Mind of John Coggin (Ages 8-12; Walden Pond Press/HarperCollins) and The Treasure of Mad Doc Magee (Ages 8-12; Walden Pond Press/HarperCollins). Both books are available for loan from Cape Ann libraries and for purchase via Amazon, IndieBound, HarperCollins, or your local bookstore.
REVIEW OF ELINOR’S AUTHOR VISITS
Rindge Avenue Upper School, Cambridge MA
I could not recommend Elinor Teele highly enough if you are looking for an author visit for your school. I have a lot of author-hosting experience at this point, so believe me when I say that few have their presentation as well-planned and targeted as she did.
This was way more than “let me tell you about my book and my life as an author”—she taught a complete storytelling lesson to a roomful of giddy last-period-on-Friday 6th graders with the skill of a professional teacher.
